Elly Henes, an adidas professional, became only the second female athlete in meet history to win both the women's elite mile and 3,000 meters at the Camel City Invitatonal at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. Henes clocked 8:57.83, becoming one of just six women's competitors at the event to eclipse the 9-minute mark, and returned to prevail in the mile in 4:38.66. Rachel (Schneider) Smith achieved the mile and 3,000 double at Camel City in both 2018 and last year.
